[ Game Abuse Info ]

  TL;DR: A tiny group of folks abused the GL for a couple hours. They'll be dealt with and the game will be entirely unaffected by their actions. I thank everyone who was honest and am super happy we have such an awesome community.

  So as you may know we had a bit of a hiccup right after the last scheduled maintenance. A few GL items were selling for free which certainly made me feel silly and got a few folks into a frenzy. I've been contemplating how to handle the issue since it happened, this isn't the first time and I'm sure something will sneak by in the future.

  I had been tempted to post a list of the folks involved but once I got it and saw how small it was I realized that I should instead be thanking everyone who didn't do anything that morning. Of the two hundred or so people that could have abused the problem before I noticed we end up with only twenty or so people (many alts) that actually used anything from it. A few more than that bought them but immediately sat on them and did nothing, of those many DQA'd in or otherwise made themselves known in chat to get the issue taken care of.

  I'm going to be getting a list of all the gear involved, all that gear is going to be getting either reverted or removed. If a person traded you their elicit gear I will be removing it but if you notice it gone you can DQA in and we'll take care of you by removing the gems from the abuser and giving them back to you. I'll also be removing all the bottles that were purchased for free that are still in some inventories. It looks like only about a dozen, maybe two dozen, items were enhanced and they'll all be reverted or removed. So any legitimately gotten gains will still be just as legitimate and awesome as they were before folks tried to cheat.
  
  If you happen to be one of those folks who was involved either vendor the bottles you have or leave them alone. I would highly suggest not using any because after this post I will treat that as a final offense :). Again, basically nobody reading this needs to worry. Everyone else is awesome and I'm really glad you are all here.

  This incident will not impact any future sales events, it won't impact any future event events, and it won't impact how we treat the community. It won't impact the economy or the rarity of any items anyone has achieved. I thank everyone who was honest with us and will do my best to make sure that every punishment is fair and every person deserving. It has been my goal throughout the history of HIS to make sure that every person feels they are treated fairly and that misdeeds are looked at objectively.

  Apologies for the long post, hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving and I hope your holidays are bright and cheery. I'm about 80% sure I've fixed this computer so I'll be more present in game this December.

[ Plane Boxes Staying! ]

  Also we'll be leaving in the Plane Boxes! I realize the bomber box has a gunner in it, I'll try to get that fixed by the maintenance following this one (its a bit more time intensive than you might think). Permanent items will be leaving the shop in maintenance tomorrow but you may see them become a fixture in our service in 2013 :).

  I might make some more plane boxes in the future so that users have access to nicely priced blind boxes of planes. I like the idea of taking a shot and always getting something neat out of it.

[ Wiki Event coming! ]

  We'll be having a Wiki event soon once I finalize some things with Frosty. The goal is to dramatically improve the look and navigation of our HIS Wiki to help new and old users find data. We'll be hopefully having real prizes and certainly having CC prizes and CC Item giveaways for everyone that helps :).

  I hope to have a full news update on this from either Frosty or myself, likely him since he's not so ranty, this week!
